"There is one more think you can try: (I only have ICDS, but ICDU should be similar) In the ICD window click on 'Advanced...' button. Then in the 'Erase Mode' section choose 'Erase when needed' or 'No Erase' and see any of these two options will prevent your EEPROM from getting erased during programming of the device."
Can someone tell me where the "Advanced... button" is located in the ICD window? I use PCW V3.158, ICDS Control Program V1.6 (firmware V1.19). Basically, I would like to program the 18F252 flash memory with the ICDS without programming the EEPROM.

After downloading the 22 Dec ICD-S update with ICD Control program V2.7, I found the button at the bottom RH corner. V1.6 did not have this button - how strange? This is probably why CCS keep updating it

I've tried both "Erase when needed" and "No erase" options in turn but my EEPROM data gets erased when I update the flash memory via the CCS ICD-S. Can anyone help me please? Thanks.
